Staying Focused on Shipping

Posted on January 4, 2011 at 7:49am 3 Comments

... staying focused.

Wait. What was I going to say? Oh, yeah...

... staying focused.

At the beginning of each new year everyone and their brother has a message on how to make the new year better than the last. Well, I don't believe

in "New Year's Resolutions." Instead, I believe in small shifts every

day that lead to big changes and even bigger results over time.

To make small shifts we need to be able to focus on…

Bigger or Smaller?

Posted on December 27, 2010 at 7:00am 0 Comments

The following is from Seth Godin's blog today.

---START---

Bigger or Smaller?

Every decision we make, every encounter we have... we get a choice.

Are we opening doors or closing them?

It's so tempting to shut people down, to limit the upside, to ostracize, select and demonize. It makes things a lot…

Michael Port Interviews Tim Ferriss on The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman

Posted on December 14, 2010 at 5:00am 2 Comments

In 2008, Tim Ferriss came out of nowhere with The 4-Hour Workweek and became the bestselling business author of the year with a long run on top of The New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.

He also made a lot of friends in the process (just one of the many keys to his success). Yours truly included.

Happy Holidays Michael!

Thank you for your comment. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your support. What I admire most about your guidance is that you leave it at just that - guidance. You don't take on the autocratic role, but instead act as a leader of this movement. I believe that everyone has the potential to think big and has, at one point in their life, understood the essence of thinking big. The problem was that their big thoughts didn't have the support system that you have put into place today. Without this manifesto...without this network...without your weekly calls...a great number of big thoughts would have fallen victim to the humdrum of small thinking. So thank you for your humble dedication. I've passed on the manifesto to others and it's a pleasure to witness their enlightenment. I would love to tell you more about the business I'm starting and hear what your words of advice. We'll save that for after the holidays. Enjoy! Great way to close out 2010. 2011 is going to be fantastic!

Your friend and fellow big thinker,
Krizia

Thanks Mike. I'm reading your book. You impacted me with an interview you gave on PBS. I heard your "hoo" and my intuition told me, he's wise, now my reasoning has confirmed it. Allow me to quote you from page 54, " Become a kind person who lives best when you express yourself and who accomplishees bigger and bigger goals by collaborating with others." Count me in as your collaborator. I hope you that publish The Think Big Manifesto in Spanish and please take the message to my people in Puerto Rico, specially Vieques, PR. They will love you and you will love them back. My love and respect.

I'm just listening to your audio on the sidebar. Love it! I'm so sick of the deception that seems to permeate the sales profession. It's refreshing to hear you.
