Great post. I love the line, "You need to submit to be submitted to." It reminds me of the application side of Tai Chi or Aikido. Very inspiring.

What do you want to think bigger about?
I want to think bigger about how I can help individuals and small business owners turn their ideas into profitable streams of income. I see a lack of motivation in young professionals and a lack of experience in technology from seasoned pros. Because of this, I have created two businesses to help these two groups of people. http://youngprofitpros.com for young professionals and http://ahigh5performance.com for mid career professionals and small business owners that need someone to guide them in developing an online presence that connects with their customers.
What other big thinkers do you find influential?
Michael Port, Ed Tate, Craig Valentine, Darren LaCroix, Patricia Fripp, Rich Hopkins, Mike Perez, and anyone that has the drive to do something bigger then themselves.
How has the The Think Big Manifesto influenced you?
Yes - I Ordered My Copy. Have You?

About Chris Elliott

Overview:

I am an energetic young professional that is dedicated to finding solutions to the problems that plague corporate and individual growth.

In detail:

I serve as a leader for supply chain and international non-profit organizations. I have an unshakable habit of lifelong learning and use my knowledge and experiences at work, for speaking engagements, workshops, consulting projects, and one-on-one coaching sessions. The result—connecting people and empowering change.

I have been a technology geek and personal development junkie starting at a very young age. I have had a computer since I was 6 and a lot of my time in middle and high school was spent reading and working on computers. When I was 13, I was developing web pages, managing servers, and not going out on many dates…go figure.

I have a Bachelors degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master of Business Logistics Engineering from the Ohio State University. I have developed mathematical models for supply chain and business problems, performed enterprise scale data analysis, and produced financial analysis of business operations. I have also served on and led many project teams to increase efficiency, lower costs, and develop state of the art processes and technology solutions.

What do I do?

Right now I am employed with a Fortune 500 company, but also spend time helping associations, small businesses, and individuals solve problems that plague their growth.

I help develop your online and offline presence to maximize the impact you have with potential members and customers at A High 5 Performance. I also manage blogs and websites for young professional development at Young Profit Pros.

I blog about Toastmasters on http://mytoastmastersblog.com.

I can help you with web project management, workshops, or speeches to management. All of my solutions are tailored to your needs.

I can be contacted at http://chris-elliott.com/contact or follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/chris_speaks.

What's Behind Your Goals?

Posted on December 27, 2008 at 9:01am 1 Comment

Today I am sitting at my desk pondering what 2009 will bring. To do this, I have written as simple of a vision statement as possible and am pondering the goals that I have written from this vision statement.

As you read this sentence, I ask you, what are your goals for 2009 and have you written them down?

If you are like many people, you might think that developing a list of goals is a silly waste of time and you might be right. It does seem like a silly waste of time to… Continue

Hi Chris - so glad you took me up on the invitation to check out what Michael Port has created here. Have you chosen a Revolution of your own to create, manage, and grow, or are you searching the site to see what Revolutions to join and be part of. I haven't looked yet, so this may be old news, but was there one around speaking already, or are you going to jump in and start it.

Talk soon.

Steve
