See Yourself As a Problem Solver

Problems are mind exercises. They can be opportunities, or they can be obstacles. Theres an old saying that if you don't have problems, then you don't have a job. They come with the teritory of any endeavor. They are necessary to prove yourself, and to make you stronger. Albert Einstein said: "It's not that I'm so smart, its just that I stay with the problem longer." I see problem solving as a true real learning experience. Real learning starts when you're willing to fail. Every winning plan…See More

Push Through The Pain

On Monday November 14th 2011, during my stay in the Courtyard  Mariott Hotel in Coconut Grove in Miami, Florida, I did the Matt Furey exercise bible (deck of cards) in my hotel room. I did the whole entire deck. (54) cards. It was a struggle, but gratefully, I've completed the whole deck. These cards consists of four exercises: Hindu push- ups, Hindu squats, table makers, and v-ups. To learn more about these exercises, go to mattfurey.com.   It took me about thirty minutes to do the whole…See More

Things Don't Always Go Well

In life, curve balls get thrown at you. People don't always keep their promises, deals get broken, contracts don't always go through, checks get delayed, people loose their jobs for no particular reason I.E. Holly Robinson Peete, and Leah Remini - former co-host of the talk show entitled 'The Talk.' Professional Athletes get cut from the team whether its in football, basketball, or baseball. Playing To Win

Just like wrestling, and in all professional sports, in real life, being good is not good enough. Being great is not great enough either. No matter how awesome you are, you can always become more awesome. This is what bettering your best is all about. You are already the greatest. You are already the very best. Just keep growing yourself as the very best.   Champions play to win. They understand the value of evaluating and making whatever changes are necessary to continue to improve. The…See More

Never Resist Struggle

I believe that  the idea of practice makes perfect is BS! You practice to get BETTER! That's how you train for excellence. Even though I don't compete in wrestling anymore, I train  as though I do. I remember the year-end Grapevine Youth Wrestling Tournament which took place on Sunday February 27th 2011 at the Mountgomery High School. It was a long long day (10hrs). It was suppose to be over around four or five-O-clock. I was getting kind of bored. I was ready to go home that day. To be…See More

Genius Is Learning One Thing After Another

I've read another book entitled "Think Like a Champion" by Donald Trump at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Moorestown, New Jersey. I read one of the chapters in this book called "Learn to Think on your feet." How does one think on their feet?  how does one know they're living on the edge?  These questions boils down to one word: "GENIUS!"  Genius is learning one thing after another. I remember  this past july 2011, the Serenity customers came in to observe how we make their boxes at Supply…See More

How To Maintain High Level Of Productivity

Remember, your job performance comes from how valuable you see yourself. not necessarily from your job position. Only the knowlege of your job comes from your job position. You want to continue to refine your value, expand it, or create better rules for it. We live in a dynamic world where our identities must continually expand in order to enjoy a greater quality of life. We need to become more aware of things that may influence our identities. notice whether they are empowering or…See More

Brain Capacity

The other day, I watched this DVD called "Limitless." It's about this burnt-out writer who discovers a top secret pill that unlocks 100 percent of his brain capacity. He then automatically acquires mind-bending talents and mesmerizing visions that bring him big money, beautiful women, and limitless success. The good news is you don't need a top secret pill to unlock 100 percent of your brain capacity. Although it helps to take some supplements such as Omega 3 Fish Oil (DHA-EPA) or Gingko…See More
