I agree the War on Drugs has done more harm than good. Even using the word "war" was a poor choice. It implies there are good guys and bad guys, or enemies if you will, so who are the enemies? The suffering addicts? Their families? Are we waging war on them? I believe we should look at the verbage and use the word "cancer". Drug addiction is more like cancer than a war. It spreads rapidly, is indiscriminate in who it affects, and ultimately, if not found and interrupted, it leads to death.
