For me, when I position myself to be part of a conversation, it's easier and takes less time to manage. When I have to dig for a reason to participate, it usually ends badly and I find that it consumes too much time.

Compromise-Is It Valueable or An Excuse
When I grew up it was often said "Learn to compromise, you will be happier". Now, while I agree it does not always serve your purpose to take a stand of resistance just to be resistant...I do not agree in compromising to make peace. I see it as the slippery slope that can take away your ability to make clear decisions and stand for what is important to you.

My site is at www.eftpraxis.com (it is quite simple and is a stand-in for a more complex site I will be having built this year). I am working with a variety of issues still, as I am in my first year of this work, though am beginning (as we all do with eft) to specialize in trauma (from childhood, from major stressful events) and in clearing it away so that people can live/create their best life. I am working with individuals and am interested in corporate work and also work with people who have come from dysfunctional families and are ready to clear that stress/ptsd/trauma once and for all. Stress reduction/dissolution and pain management/alleviation are also areas I work with. I would love to be in regular contact with you---I am also letting other practitioners know that I'm in the Washington DC area, and while I do work on the phone, am available in person, too---so can be here for people when they need an in-person specialist. Thanks for your note!
