Thanks so much for your quick response. I have a few vocal students that come to my house and I perform on stage locally every few months for free. My coach tells me I should start charging people, but I don't know what to charge. I've charged a nominal fee a few times, but it only covered the cost of gas back and forth to practice sessions and performance and didn't really compensate me for my time. I look forward to reading your weekly tips.
By the way, I really like your video and your pictures of your book and CD. Your website looks very professional. I'd love to chat with you more about all this, but I'm afraid I'm taking up too much of your time. Keep in touch.
Sounds great. What is your website? I don't see a link on your profile page. Your method sounds great. I have seen people do some exercises with speaking in the range of their song to help with voice placement and stuff, starting with MmmHmm, and then a phrase. Is that kind of what you're doing?
I currently have a coach, but she is very old and I worry about how long she'll be able to help me. She is amazing and we are wonderful friends, so I can't change coaches as of right now. But, I am looking for the future. Maybe a few years away.
I teach piano and I'm trying to venture into online teaching, but haven't been able to get it going. How did you move into the internet coaching and how did you get your clients? I've been blogging, tweeting, facebooking, and stuff, but only had 3 people fill in a contact form and I've never been able to get a hold of them. Tried several times, but no answer when I call and no message machine. I sent e-mails and got only 1 response.
What has worked best for you? Can I look at your website?
