The Think Big Revolution

Dec. 28, 1010: Today's Think Big Revolution Member Meeting - Hensei

With the new year coming comes new opportunities for doing big things in the world. Whether that's getting booked solid or getting beyond booked solid or getting healthier or happier or more open to romance. Or something else altogether.

Today's Think Big Revolution Member Meeting will be held in silence. No number to call in.

Just sit comfortably. Away from any distractions. That includes, but is not limited to: - Computer - Phone - Television - Children - Adults - Or anything else that may interrupt you Do this from 12pm to 1pm today.

If you can't manage reflecting for one hour, do it for as long as you can. Use this time to reflect upon your work, your activities, your plans, or anything that is important to you and your future.

Be unyielding in a critique of your successes and your failures. Be stupendously honest. Look for connections among seemingly unconnected things.

Keep asking "What if?" Take note of new opportunities to test. Don't tell yourself something is "ok" if it's not ok.

Oh, and one more thing... enjoy yourself. If you do this, you'll be practicing Hansei. It's a vital part of learning... and doing big things in the world.

I love you very much (and not in a weird way),

Michael,

That was the best conference call I never had.  It made me realize that it is part of my work to sit quietly, close the door, turn off the phone, and "be" with my business.  Right away I saw some common themes in how I operated this year that aren't ok with me.  It was very helpful to observe as if from afar, without the noise and habitual mental clutter.  It was a brilliant first step toward my year-end process of looking at the accomplishments and disappointments of 2010 and letting them go.  I'm excited about planning at a higher level, from a place of service, from a place of what's good with me more than what's expected of me.

Thanks for your continued positive presence and this great idea!  Christine Silver

Hi, Michael.

What a great idea to do this process looking for connections and asking "what if?"

I noticed that I did a LOT of different things this past year to promote my coaching practice--presentations, articles, entered book contest, postcards, client thank you greeting cards, fliers, etc. I have been thinking for some time that my return on all of this was WAY too low for the amount of time and money I invested, and looking at this on paper verfied my thoughts. I noticed that my health problems have escalated, and that I still did not develop a work schedule that is healthy and balanced. All of these things are NOT OK with me!

WHAT IF I chose fewer self-promo things to try in 2011?

Now, I'm working a part-time job back in the corporate world to help pay my medical expenses. I'm OK with that, but it doesn't leave much time to build my practice, which I'm not OK with.

WHAT IF I can find a way to see a connection between this part time job and my Think Big Dream?

I noticed that I have become more clear about my niche, which is GREAT!

WHAT IF this clarity is the one thing that will take my practice Over the Top in 2011?

I noticed that there were delayed benefits to some of the networking events I initiated, which I'm OK with.

What IF there is a HUGE delayed benefit just around the corner--something that will generate the results I need to make my self-employment sustainable in 2011?

WHAT IF things are not as they appear on the surface?

These thoughts give me hope. Thanks for facilitating this process.

Sincerely,

Tamara Herl
