I have recently taken my Buddhist vows so this is much on my mind and heart these days. As a business coach for purpose-driven women entrepreneurs who are often so reluctant to promote, the only tool I have for them (and me) is to be just a
true, devoted servant to our clients.
If we were to take Buddha's teachings seriously we would increase our cherishing of others and decreasing our "self-cherishing". We would be more courageous to stick to our principles of services, truth, love and authenticity and not be so concerned about our short-term well-being.
End result: We create a safe ground for others to stand on. When we do so, we give those tired souls coming to see us for help a safe haven to rest.
That is what makes relationships meaningful, valuable and eventually profitable (for all of us).
