generosity and momentum

i have been thinking a lot about generosity lately. being open to others, listening, and supporting them and their needs. the other day i gently offered my services (specifically a program i am testing out - very beta form right now) pro-bono to a colleague. she appreciated the offer and we went on with our conversation. 15 minutes later she said: "you know what, i will take you up on your offer and i appreciate it so much i would like to offer my services (the reason we were having the meeting) as a trade. this will help both of us and we can have a stronger basis to refer from". a win/win for both of us and it came about by giving. now, i know it doesn't always happen that quickly. but, it was a good lesson for me to keep my ears and mind open to possibilities.

thinking big can come in subtlety as well.
