Genius Is Learning One Thing After Another

I've read another book entitled "Think Like a Champion" by Donald Trump at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Moorestown, New Jersey. I read one of the chapters in this book called "Learn to Think on your feet." How does one think on their feet?  how does one know they're living on the edge?  These questions boils down to one word: "GENIUS!"

Genius is learning one thing after another. I remember  this past july 2011, the Serenity customers came in to observe how we make their boxes at Supply One where I work. Serenity is a Pharmaceutical Company with several branches. They were there all day that day-coming in, going out, coming back, going fourth. Mark Smith, vice president of supply one lead the pack discussing what we do and showing the serenity customers how we make their boxes. Later that day, when one of the serenity customers came over by my area where I work, a ladder, and a printing ink trap were on the white line eighteen inches away from the wall. Mark called me over, put his arm around me, looked me cold in the eye, and said "If I see anything else on that white line, I will fire you!" I said to him"I had nothing to do with that!" He then said "I don't care!" I then proceeded back to working at my position as a feeder on the Serenco. The Serenco is a very long printing machine that slots, prints, glues, folds, and straps boxes all at the same time. I admit, what mark said to me did dampen my spirit alittle, but I did not let it interfere with my job performance, nor did I let it change how I saw myself. I see myself as an entrepreneurial individual who builds everything in his path. And this where genius comes into play.

Genius is also about building excellence. I believe in building excellence and never being a perfectionist. In perfection, you go nowhere. You cannot grow, and you will be miserable as hell. This world is moving too fast to be a perfectionist, and you will get left behind. Building excellence also means bettering your best everyday. It's the ultimate desire to excel. You cannot change with the times if you do not build excellence. You cannot improvise, you cannot overcome, you cannot adapt quickly, and you cannot think on your feet if you fail to build excellence.

Using you imagination to the fullest is another major aspect of genius. I've read another chapter in Think Like A Champion book called "Imagination: A Key to Financial Savvy."  In this book, Donald Trump talks about how he always execute with his imagination. I admit, I did not always knew how to use my imaginatioin to the fullest. Thankfully, now I have the opportunity to learn how. Reading this chapter also gave me an idea to ask myself a few questions: "What does it mean to execute with the imagination?" How do I use my imagination to work best for me to the fullest?" How do I go about executing my imagination?" In other words, what imagination I'm going to execute, and the ones after that?" This is one of the examples of why genius is learning one thing after another. Find the way to get the best out of your imagination and apply what you come up with.

Well. That is all that I have for today. Thank you for reading these very powerful words.
