The Think Big Revolution

I think part of thinking big is to blend creative thinking with disciplined planning. Unless we have written yearly/quarterly/weekly and daily goals, we (a) don't know where we are going (b) don't know if we have gotten there and (c) have difficulty staying focused. WRITTEN goals, rather than those rumbling around in our heads, help us to measure our accomplishments, and let us know if we are staying on track. Lives are busy, complex and often noisy - quiet planning helps center our energy and our focus. I stand for helping my clients be planned based - which of course adds motivation to my actions as well. The plans I create, which include a quarterly, monthly, and weekly review, as well as planning each day as I drink my morning coffee has helped me immeasurably.

What have you done to create plans and goals for 2009?

P.S. If you need tools and an approach, e-mail me here and I'll send out my 2009 Goal Planning with individual tools for you to use.

Great work Susan - let me know if I can help in any way. I work with female entrepreneurs quite a bit, both through coaching, my virtual assistant business and as a leader with Ladies who Launch. I have lots of tools I am happy to share.

Although I've been in business for nearly three years, this is the first year I'm really motivating myself to make written goals and plans for the upcoming year. My plans are still a work in progress, but I'm going beyond revenue goals and looking at my current clients and exploring new marketing avenues. I'll admit its overwhelming, especially for me, a one-woman organization who only works part time to boot.
