The Think Big Revolution

Knowing more will give you more control in life.

Have you ever wondered why you got stopped on something? Have you ever not reached a goal? Have you ever wondered why you can't really program a VCR?

Maybe there was just something that you didn't know that was blocking you from getting the result that you wanted. I know that all of us could program a VCR and yes, I agree there are better things to do with our time but that one stumped most people on this planet.

Not knowing gives others who do know more control. It also allows us to become the effect of THINGS. Such as VCR's. they time you are getting slowed down or find yourself stopped on something, ask yourself, "What don't I know about this situation?"

My point is you CAN know the answer to most things. You are a powerful being! Therefore, why limit your knowing which only leads to limit of ability or control in life?

Awesome! Of course they were. So true. Isn't it nice that we can remove TIME from the equation when we are exhilarated by production? You are right again, looking at a product that society will exchange their valuables for i.e. money and knowing it is a good product is a very good feeling indeed.

Yes, anyone can! I believe everyone deep down inside whether they can confront it or not wants more control in life!

Rob, I took the expert road. I did the work myself and the client was very happy. I once heard that a leading indicator that you have chosen the right profession is that you can get lost in your work and lose all track of time. That is certainly true for me. There are few feelings in the world that compare to looking at a finished product, a superior end result, and saying "I didn't know how to do that when I started, but I certainly did by the time I was finished." You're right, anyone can do it. They just have to cross the threshold of wanting to do it.

Mike, thanks for your comment. Which choice did you make? I am enjoying becoming an expert. How about you?

My best to you Mike, thank you!

Very true, Rob. A client approached me last week with a need, and I had two choices. I could have assigned the project to my programmers, who are well-versed in the requirements, or I could do the work myself. The advantage to doing the work myself is that I deposit 100% of the client's check in my bank account, and the next time the need arises, I've paid my dues and know exactly how to proceed on my own. It's all a matter of the amount of sweat equity that we are willing to invest. The bigger our investment, the greater our reward. You can pick up any modern sales book and one of the universal tips found in all of them is "become an expert." The greater a person's expertise, the greater the value they have to offer others, and the greater their potential for success. Everyone, no matter how busy they might be, can set aside one hour per day for learning and development. When this commitment is fused with clear, written goals, we become unstoppable.

Best wishes for your continued success in this holiday season and the year ahead.
