The Think Big Revolution

The One (And Only) Thing In The World That You Can "Control"...

...YOU.

Your attitude, your performance, your optimism, your pessimism, your courage, your fear, loving yourself even if no one else loves you, going to work early, finishing late, making one more sales call when you'd rather go home and lick your wounds, getting to the end of your day with precious little to show for it and refusing to let that diminish your enthusiasm for tomorrow by ONE IOTA. Looking at tomorrow like a rabid dog starin' at a PORK CHOP.

No one's going to do it for you. They will for a while, and one day you'll turn around and they won't be there. Better get it together before that day comes.

Had a prospective client lie to me today. Flat-out lied. I asked him a very direct "yes / no" question yesterday, and he replied. Today, he told me the exact opposite. Both responses cannot possibly be true. He lied, and I was supposed to be too stupid to do the math.

And yeah, right now, I am angry, and I do feel disappointed, and underneath it I feel I've been betrayed by a man who is a coward and a liar.

But I also took a little time-out and thanked GOD that this man is NOT going to be one of my clients.

I've never walked among so many frightened, cowardly people in my life. And the "If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger" crowd? I see that kid sitting in a tree in "Deliverance," strumming his banjo. Because the people who tell you that what you're going through right now will only make you stronger haven't gone through much in recent days, which makes them arrogant or idiots or arrogant idiots or that kid sitting in the tree strumming his banjo.

How tough are you? Are you tougher than your circumstances? And if you aren't, what's your "Plan B?"
